CACAO
A DOORWAY TO CONNECTION

Where presence deepens, the heart opens, and something within begins to remember.

What is ceremonial Cacao?

Ceremonial cacao is not just chocolate.
It is pure, minimally processed cacao paste made from high-quality beans, traditionally used in rituals, gatherings, and inner work.

Unlike processed cocoa, ceremonial cacao retains its natural compounds supporting both the body and the mind in a gentle, grounded way.

It has been used for generations as a plant ally for connection, awareness, and heart-opening experiences.

Why Cacao?

It may support:
A deeper sense of connection (to yourself and others),
Emotional openness and self-awareness,
Creativity and intuitive flow,
A calm, grounded focus,
Relaxation within the body

Cacao is often called a heart-opening medicine. Not because it creates something artificial, but because it helps you feel what is already there, more clearly.

Rather than overstimulating like coffee, cacao offers a soft, sustained energy often described as warm, steady, and uplifting.

The science behind the feeling

Theobromine – a gentle heart stimulant that increases blood flow and creates a warm, energised state (without the jitteriness of caffeine)
Magnesium – supports relaxation and the nervous system
Flavonoids & polyphenols – powerful antioxidants
Neurotransmitter precursors such as serotonin, PEA, and anandamide often associated with feelings of happiness, connection, and wellbeing

Cacao contains a unique combination of natural compounds that influence mood, focus, and perception.

This is why cacao is often experienced not as a “high”, but as a subtle shift into presence, clarity, and openness.

A note on respect & tradition

Cacao has deep roots in indigenous traditions, particularly within Central and South America.

Traditionally, ceremonies are held by trained guides within specific cultural contexts.

Today, cacao is also shared more widely in modern spaces.
If you choose to work with cacao, it is important to approach it with: respect, intention, awareness of its origins

Cacao is not just a product. It is part of a living tradition.

How to work with cacao

Cacao can be experienced in many ways: quiet personal rituals, meditation or journaling, movement, breathwork, or dance, group circles or ceremonies.

The most important element is not the structure, but the intention you bring into the space.

Mayan elders of Tz'utujil lineage

Our cacao is sourced through direct relationships with Mayan elders and communities in Guatemala, where cacao has been honoured for generations as a sacred plant medicine and ceremonial companion.

This is more than simply cacao.

It is a tradition rooted in connection, prayer, reciprocity, and deep respect for the wisdom of the Earth. Through ongoing learning, guidance, and collaboration with Mayan teachers, we honour the ancestral roots and sacred essence carried within every cup.

We are committed to ethical sourcing, heartfelt exchange, and sharing cacao in a way that respects both the people and the traditions from which it comes.

Each cup is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, open the heart, and remember the beauty of being fully present.
